Floaters In The Eye

Question:
Can some one explain to me where I got these floaters in the eye from?  One day they are not there and the next day here they are.  I have noticed floaters in my eyes for about a year now.

Teresa,
When people get older starting around  middle age, the gel-like vitreous tissue begins to liquefy and contract. Some parts of the vitreous tissue  can form clumps or narrow squiggly strands inside the eye. The vitreous gel pulls away from the back wall of your  eye, causing a posterior vitreous detachment.  And whala you have floaters in the eyes.  Floaters do not require surgery and for the better part not harmless to you.  Just pretend youe seeing UFO’s…(-:
